Nutrient Therapies are Medical Treatments

Your Safety is A Priority

Whether you’re simply seeking a wellness boost, energy support, or help with acute illness, all vitamin injections and IV drips are medical treatments. With this in mind, we are always assessing treatment need with each visit, weighing risks versus benefit, and checking for any contraindications based on your intake forms and pre-treatment conversations.

Key Considerations:

  • Kidney or Liver Function: Fluids, electrolytes, and nutrients might stress these systems if already compromised.
  • Blood Pressure: High or low blood pressure can be affected by fluid volume or certain nutrients like magnesium.
  • Cardiovascular Health: Fluid volume and electrolytes may impact certain heart conditions.
  • Bleeding Disorders: Treatment could influence clotting factors.
  • Blood Sugar Levels and Medications: Nutrients like vitamin C can alter glucose metabolism and glucose monitor readings
  • Allergies: Certain nutrients may come from allergenic sources (e.g. corn, soy, shellfish, sesame, lanolin).
  • Cancer History: Some nutrients might be unsuitable for those with a cancer history.
  • Medication Interactions: Potential incompatibilities and contraindications.

Please take your intake forms seriously for these reasons.

Due to the above concerns, there are times we may request a recent CBC (Complete Blood Count) and CMP (Complete Metabolic Panel) results. These tests are common in any standard health screening, and we may need to modify or withhold treatment without this information. For your convenience, we offer these tests on-site for $15 with next-day results. For vitamin C doses over 15 grams and large-dose ozone treatments, a G6PD test is required. We provide this test on-site for $15, with results generally available in three days. For vitamin D injections above 10,000 IU or more than once a month, proof of deficiency is needed. This test is available in-office for $25.
